Mihhail Kremez studied framing Russia in Estonia, Bulgaria, Germany, Latvia, Finland, the USA, and China’s news media, and the perception of Russia-related news frames by Russian-speaking audiences in Estonia and Cyprus.
The findings reveal that shortcomings in the functioning and accessibility of public support structures and crisis communication during the pandemic worsened the situation of people already in precarious circumstances.
