On 14–15 January, the conference “Teaching for learning 2026: anxiety and excitement of teaching” took place at the University of Tartu. The focus of the two-day event was on shaping an academic culture that supports learning and pedagogical wellbeing.

At the conference “Teaching for learning 2026”, Vice Rector for Academic Affairs Aune Valk presented the teaching awards and the teaching quality award of 2025.

On 8 December, we will once again organise the international Delta Trends Day at the University of Tartu, the theme this time is ”Hybrid Security Learning and Action at Europe’s Eastern Border”.

Next academic year, the professorship of liberal arts will be held by poet, children’s author and prosaist Viivi Luik.

At the conference “Teaching for Learning 2025: Journey Towards Valued Teaching”, Vice Rector for Academic Affairs Aune Valk presented the 2024 teaching awards and the teaching quality award.

Delta Trends Day 2024 is on the 12th of November, covering the topic Future Accounting and Finance: Digital and Sustainable.

ENLIGHT Teaching and Learning Conference 2024

In the coming academic year, singer, pianist and composer Kadri Voorand will become the new Professor of Liberal Arts at the University of Tartu, with a lecture course focusing on life-changing creation. She will be succeeded by Peeter Jalakas, former professor and director, who will participate in a public discussion titled “Feeling and meaning” in the attic hall of Tartu Cathedral on the evening of 23 May.
